Translating Texture

This book is meant to be interactive and tactile. I incorporated photographs I took of interesting surface textures I saw around London, along with found textures I collected throughout my time there (paper from craft stores, shopping bags, fabric, etc.). Texture should be something you can feel, even through just an image. In a way, I’m translating texture by creating a 3-dimensional touchable book, from flat and 2-dimensional photographs, bound together by a French Link Stitch.
