This project is an exploration of my multicultural upbringing, focusing specifically on my Latinx background. The home I’m referencing in my work is my family and mamá (a common word of affection for grandma in the Dominican Republic) and her house in the Bronx, which has always felt like a second home to me. I designed a found typeface, an autobiographical book, a research book of poems that influenced my work, posters, and a collection of Spanish word definition cards. I utilized a wide range of media in this project such as the CNC machine, 3D printer, screen printing, RISO printing, and the Laser Cutter.
